Apollo Hospitals get Air Ambulance service

Apollo Hospitals announced the extension of its air ambulance services net work to Visakhapatnam through its current hubs in Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Each of their air ambulances will be manned by a full-fledged medical crew trained in critical pre-hospital care protocols to addres emergency victims and critically-ill patients. The launch is in partnership with Bengaluru based Air Aviators Rescue who will provide helicopters and the logistics support to Apollo Hospitals.

The Air Ambulance service was launched by Dr.J.Radhakrishnan, principal secretary to Government of Tamil Nadu’s Health and Family Welfare Department ad Dr.Prathap Reddy, Chairman of Apollo Hospitals Group.

The cost of the service will range from Rs.1.6 lakh to Rs.2 lakh per hour.
