Former Minister and Uttarandhra Charcha Vedika convener Konathala Ramakrishna staged a silent protest today demanding implementation of Babu Jagjivan Ram Sujala Sravanthi project.

He said that the former Chief Minister late Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy has laid the foundation for the project at Sabbavaram in 2009. He staged the protest after paying tributes to a portrait of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar on the occasion of 127th birth anniversary. Leaders of various political parties, farmers and representatives of people’s organizations sat in the protest to express their solidarity.

He recalled that the TDP had promised in its election manifesto in 2014 of completion the Sujala Sravanthi project early. But, even after for four years, there was no progress in the execution of the project. He said that the agitation would be intensified if the tender process was not completed and work was not completed by May 15.
