BJP reiterated its demand to merge Waltair Division in South Central Railway

Says it is injust to merge with East Coast Railway

The Bharateeya Janatha Party (BJP) has reiterated the demand for merger of Waltair Division in South Central Railway to prevent injustice being done to the people of the region by the East Coast Railway which full of linguistic and regional bias. He submitted a memorandum to the the Divisional Manager, D Kamilla on Tuesday.

The party's city unit president M Nagendra noted that important Express trains originating and terminating in Visakhapatnam were being extended up to Bhubaneswar and the quota of berths from Visakhapatnam was being reduced. He said that the development works at the Railway Station like extension of platforms were being going on a slow pace and long distance trains were being diverted via Duvvada.
