VUDA to take up special drive

The VUDA has decided to take up a special drive to clear the applications received under the Layout Regularization Scheme seeking approval of the individual plots and un-authorized and illegal layouts. VUDA Vice Chairman, B Sridhar has directed the officials of the Planning wing to dispose of the applications zone wise, by giving approvals avoiding delay. The drive will continue in a phased manner and zone-wise to clear all the applications. During the drive, the applications will be scrutinized and the applicants will be informed about the lapses said further requirements to complete the process.
The Vice Chairman said the drive would be a single window facility to the applicants to avoid their going around the VUDA office and help them receive the approvals within a stipulated time. He instructed Chief Urban Planner K Ananda Babu to make arrangements for conducting the drive in the entire Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Area.
The special drive begins with Zone-4 covering Visakhapatnam city. The drive for the city areas will be conducted on March 22 and 23 from 11am to 5pm at VUDA Office and applications pertaining to other areas will be dealt with.
