Train to have six general compartments, 8 sleeper, 1 second AC and 1 third AC

The Visakhapatnam-Mumbai, bi-weekly super fast train will be introduced on March 24 from Visakhapatnam and from Mumbai on the next day according to a press release issued by the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division, HL Luwang here on Tuesday. The train No: 2749 to Mumbai would leave here on every Wednesday and Saturday and the train No: 2750 to Visakhapatnam would leave Mumbai on every Thursday and Sunday. The super fast train leaves Visakhapatnam at 9am and reaches LTT, Mumbai at 11.05am on the next day and in the return direction the train leave LTT, Mumbai at 12.25pm and reaches Visakhapatnam at 2.25pm on the next day.
Train to Mumbai departs at different stations en route at the following timings; Rajahmundry 11.44am, Akiveedu 1.33pm, Gudivada junction 2.33pm, Vijayawada 3.45pm, Kazipet junction 6.32pm, Secunderabad 9.10pm Vikarabad junction 10.37pm, Wadi junction 12.40pm Solapur at 3.10am and Pune Junction 7.55am.
Train to Visakhapatnam departs at different stations en route at the following timings; Pune 3.35pm, Solapur 7.30pm, Wadi 10.45pm, Vikarabad 12.30am, Secunderabad 2.10am, Kazipet 4.10am, Vijayawada 8am, Gudivada 9.12am, Akiveedu at 10.07am and Rajahmundry 11.50am. The train will have six general compartments, eight sleeper coaches, one second class and one third class AC and two luggage vans.
While people get a cheer with the introduction of the new train, large scale dissatisfaction exists with the plea to merge Waltair Division with SC Railways not happening in the Railway Budget 2010.
