Tension in the region with news spreading like a wildfire

Two workers engaged in a company located in Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone (VPEZ), Duvvada died accidentally on Monday. According to police said the accident took place when J Harisichandra Rao and P Venkateswarulu were manually pushing a trolley and one of the four boulders cut by them fell on them at the factory of Showcase Stone International Private Limited following a a snag in the cutting the machine. One of the worker died on the spot itself.
There was tension in the area as the news of death spread like wildfire. After several hours of discussions and protests by the workers and relatives, the management agreed to give a compensation of Rs.4 lakhs to each of the deceased in the accident. Gajuwaka Police registered a case and are investigating.
