Campus drive held at Avanthi

Information Technology major Genpact organized a campus drive at Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology on college campus at Tagarapuvalasa on Friday. M.Priyanka general secretary I.Sravan Kumar, managing director of Avanthi Group of Colleges appreciated the shortlisted candidates.

Lecture-cum-demo on Carnatic music

A team from SPIC MACAY, conducted a lecture-cum-demonstration on the essence of Carnatic music and its cultural significance at Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology at Jonnada on Friday. The team headed by Carnatic vocalist and Padma Bhushan awardee T.V.Sankaranarayan performed. Chairman of the Lendi P.Madusudana Rao said students should learn values from classical music and Indian cultural heritage.

Rag-pickers to collect garbage

Making rag-packers part of the cleanliness campaign 500 of them will be involved in collection of door-to-door collection of domestic waste, Municipal Commissioner M.Hari Narayan has said. At a review of welfare and rehabilitation of rag-pickers, the Commissioner said that on an experimental basis their services would be diploying them in teams of two each.
