AUSDE examinations

The third year examinations for B.A., B.Com., and B.Sc courses of the School of Distance Education, Andhra University will be held at various centres from November 13 from 2pm to 5pm as per schedule. However there are some changes with regard to examination centres.

Stone laid for ‘Rajagopuram’

The foundation stone for construction of ‘Rajagopuram’ of Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple, adopted by Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi temple, was laid by Minister for Endowments P.Manikyala Rao at Ambika Bagh near Jagadamba junction on Sunday.

Maha dharna

Members of the AP Medical and Sales Representatives’ Union will participate in the nationwide maha dharna being organized in response to the call given by the Federation of Medical Representatives Association of India at Azad Maidan in Mumbai on November 13.

Foundation stone laid

HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao today laid the foundation stone for a ghat roadto Ananta Padmanabha Swamy temple at Padmanabham. The 3.1 km road, to be laid at a cost of Rs.5.69 crore is exepected to be completed in six months.

Complete works of Kopparapu poets released

Former Chairman of AP Press Academy Potturi Venkateswara Rao today released a volume of complete works of Kopparapu Kavulu marking the 120 years since they first began their literary endeavor. It was the responsibility of the Central and State governments to include the 'avadhana prakriya' in curriculum and ass it on to the future generation, he said. He paid glowing tributes to Kopparapu Kavulu - Venkata Subbaraya and Venkataramana for enriching the 'avadhana prakriya' said senior journalist K.Ramachandra Murty.
