45,280 candidates take Group II Mains

APPSC Chairman P.Udaya Bhaskar said today that the APPSC Mains examinations held on Saturday and Sunday in 173 centres across the State including Hyderabad.

Speaking at a press conference, he said that over 45,280 candidates appeared for the online examination and there was no technical glitch reported at centres on Saturday except at GITAM and another institution in Chirala.

He said that in GITAM, the candidates had left the examination centres even after the problem was rectified despite the invigilator asking them to stay back. The technical glitch disrupted the computer based examination for a considerable length of time, walking out of the examination centre gave way to deviation of rules. The online examination has jumbled set of questions and candidates are not allowed to leave the centre without permission of the invigilator, he said.

It may be recalled that the APPSC candidates stage protest for failure of computers on Saturday examination who walked out of the centre at GITAM.
