Cleanliness drive

A number of students took part in the ‘Swachhta se divyata tak’ programme organized at Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar by Sri Satya Sai Seva organization. As a part of the programme students cleaned and dusted fans and furniture on the campus. The cleanliness campaign will continue till October 20.

Prabhat Samgita concludes

A two day workshop on Prabhat Samgita, organized jointly by the Department of Music and Dance, Andhra University and Renaissance Universal concluded on Saturday. V.Uma Maheswara Rao was the chief guest.

Diploma course seats vacant

A few seats in Retail Management and IT diploma course are available and the seats would be filled on the first come first serve basis said correspondent of BVK College Viswanath Kandarpa. Those who passed Intermediate are eligible. The diploma course offered in association with Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra of UGC is open to eligible candidates free of cost.

Deputy Chief assures development of Anakapalle

Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa today reviewed the issues pending for development of Anakapalle Lok Sabha constituency. He reviewed the progress with officials following a request by Anakapalli MP M.Srinivasa Rao. He promised to clear them. Among other things, the MP sourght on widening from four to six lanes of road between Anakapalle and Anandapuram on the NH-16 and survey for laying the new railway lane between Tuni and Kothavalasa.

Traffic awareness drive by Patra India

As part of CSR activity, Patra India, leading BPO with headquarters in the city conducted a traffic awareness programme at NAD junction today. Passers-by were explained on safely precautions through banners, placards by the employees of the BPO who also presented pens to those who were wearing helmets and used seat belts. Over 150 employees participated int he programme.
