Pratibha awards for city students

Sharuk Khan and Pasila Ankita of Priyanka’s Vidyodaya High School won Pratibha Awards for scoring 10 Grade Point Average points in Class X. School Head Master D.Bhagirath Kumar lauded the toppers for bringing glory to the school and the city at a programme organized on the school campus.

AU dispensary gets ECG equipment

The dispensary at AU will be developed to extend full-fledged services to its employees and students according Vice Chancellor G.Nageswara Rao. He was speaking after inaugurating the modern equipment of ECG at the dispensary on Thursday. Steps were being taken to provide the necessary facilities the dispensary, he said.

Motivational training for DCI employees

An innovative employee motivational training programme titled ‘Think’ was organized at the head office of the DCI. PK Sethi, joint manager, said under the guidance of CMD Rajesh Tripathi, the corporation would conduct more such programmes to boost the morale of employees.

Verification of documents of AgriGold victims begin

The verification counters that were set up by the city police began today. The police opened 35 counters in 11 venues across the city and on the first day some 1,750 victims were called for verification of documents. DCP (Law and Order) K.Fakeerappa said that on the first day, they have restricted the number of 50 people per counter and will increase slowly. The counters will remain open for a minimum period of about 20 days to physically verify all the documents of victims who have registered in the CID website.

IGNOU counselling classes on October 15

IGNOU study centre will conduct theory counselling classes for fresh and re-registered candidates admitted for July 2017 session for degree, post-graduation, diploma and certificate courses at Dr.Lankapalli Bullayya College study centre from Sunday. An induction meeting will be held for the freshers at 9am followed by the regular classes.

Bill Gates to take part in hackathon valedictory

Co-founder of Microsoft Corporation and Co-Chairman of Bill and Melindia Gates Foundation Bill Gates will participate in the ‘Agri Hackathon’ to be organized here from November 15 to 17. He will be in the city for two hours according to official press release. Chief Minister will inaugurate the ‘hackathon’ on November 15.

Naval Ships to take part in PASSEX

In pursuance of India’s Act East’ policy and demonstration of its commitment to peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region, Indian Naval Ships Satpura and Kadmatt were on a visit to Sasebo, Japan for four days from Thursday. After completion of the harbour phase, the ships would take part in Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with Murusame Class destroyer J.S.Kirisame said a Navy release.
