Bid to rob SBI ATM

Miscreants made a bid to rob an ATM of the State Bank of India ATM in the early hours of Saturday. The ATM is located near Srinivasa College behind the SP’s bungalow. The locals informed the SBI officials about the partial damage done to the ATM. However, the bank officials did not indulge any complaint with the police as the cash in the ATM was safe. The police also confirmed that they did not receive any complaint.

Renovated HSL quarters inaugurated

Renovated B2 quarters of HSL Residential Colony Scindia were inaugurated on Saturday by HSL Ladies’ Welfare Association president Vijaya Lakshmi Sarat Babu. HSL CMD Rear Admiral L.V.Sarat Babu appreciated the efforts of personnel involved in the renovation work in a record time of three months. He said that they had already renovated Lalitha Kalamandir auditorium, Hindustan Shipyard degree and Junior Colleges, G.V.Nilayam School, Scindia shopping Complex, Utility complex and Family park.

Blood donation marks bank’s Foundation Day

Local employees of Union Bank of India organized a blood donation camp at the regional office on the occasion of the bank’s 99th Foundation on Saturday. DGM C.M.Minocha, AGMs and others took part. The donated units were later handed over to A.S.Raja Blood Bank.

Cycling marathon

Visakha Container Terminal Private Limited organized a beach road cycling marathon from Park Hotel junction to Rushikonda beach to create awareness on climate change and its impact on Saturday. VCTPL vice-president Srijith flagged off the event in which several employees participated.

Plea to MP against DCI disinvestment

Employees and trade union leaders from various industries on Saturday submitted a memorandum to MP K.Haribabu against the Centre’s decision for strategic sale of equity in Dredging Corporation of India. DCI employees went on a motorbike rally to the MP’s office located near Appu Ghar. They along with trade union leaders from Visakhapatnam Port, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam limited, HPCL and other organizations and DCI Non-Executive Employee’s Union honorary president V.S.Padmanabha Raju sought Haribabu’s support.

Military music on November 14 from 4.30pm to 6pm

The Eastern Naval Command is organizing a public performance of military music at VUDA Children Arena on November 14 from 4.30pm to 6pm. The performance will feature a small show-and-tell wherein the children will get a chance to see and learn some interesting facts about each of the band instruments. The entry to the performance is free.
