Ramavarapu Vijayalakshmi Global Award presented to Mohan Bhatt

Ramavarapu Vijayalakshmi Global Award-2017 was today presented to Mohana veena maestro Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt on Saturday.

HPCL Visakha Refinery Executive Director GSVSSS.Prasad Sarma presented the award to him at a function held at Kala Bharati Auditorium. The award comprising of Rs.1 lakh in cash, silver veena, citation, plaque and memento.

Responding to the felicitation, Mohan Bhatt expressed his happiness over receiving the award . He said that he could see a lot of promising musicians performing and complimented their devotion to music.

Andhra University Vice Chancellor G.Nageswara Rao and others present in the programme. Bhatt presented mementos to all the young artistes who performed a concert by her students and those of Ramavarapu Madhuridevi titled ‘Guru Tyagaraja Vijayam’. He also released a ‘Guru Tyagaraja Vijayam’ CD. He presented a gold medal for the ‘best student’ of the yar to Smriti Chitra.
