Railways reduce Vistadome fare to Araku

The railways have reduced the fare on the Vistadome coach which was launched in April last from Rs.1,330 to Rs.1,130 for two way trip.

The see-through glass coach offers a panoramic view of the hills, valleys and an exhilarating experience to tourists as it passes through the tunnels.

DRM Mukul Saran Mathur pursed the matter of the demand to reduce the fare with the Railway Board and they had finally given the nod for reduction of Rs.200 if the passenger opts for the two-way trip to Araku or Rs.100 if they take only the return trip to Visakhapatnam.

The two way fare which is Rs.1,330 has been reduced to Rs.1,130. But if a passenger wants to take the return trip alone, it has been fixed at Rs.565. But, there is no reduction in fare if the passenger wants to take the outward trip alone, he has to ay the full fare of Rs.665.
