The Telugu Desam Party MP from Anantapur J.C.Diwakar Reddy was barred by four more airlines in addition to the those airlines that barred earlier.

This was in the back drop of the Visakhapatnam Airport incident in which he reportedly attacked IndiGo Airlines staff on Thursday and damaged equipment. However no case was filed against the MP by the airlines or the airport authorities.

Union Minister for Civil Aviation P.Ashok Gajapati Raju who was present in the VIP lounge when the incident took place refused to be dragged into the controversy. He said that he would get the entire incident enquired into and ensure that lawful outcome followed.

Ashok Gajapati Raju said that nobody is above the law. The CCTV cameras that have recorded arrival time of Diwakar Reddy will settle the issue whether or not he has in time to board the IndiGo flight to Hyderabad. ‘I have nothing to do with it because I have to concentrate on the growth of civil aviation and not on the behavior of 10 crore passengers who travel by air every day’, he said.

It may be recalled that IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet and Jet Airways have barred Diwakar Reddy to travel by their airlines following JC Diwakar Reddy creates rucks at airport following denial of boarding passon Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Visakhapatnam Airport.
