GVMC assistant tax collector Srinivas in ACB net

An assistant tax collector of GVMC, Rayana Srinivas was caught by the officials of the ACB for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.80,000 from a complainant on Monday.

Based on a complaint, the ACB officials laid a trap and caught him red-handed. The tax collector demanded bribe for processing and getting assessment to tax and issue of tax book of a newly constructed building in a Layout at Madhuranagar said ACB DSP Kinjarapu Ramakrishna Prasad.

According the ACB authorities, the accused collected the amount for six others including a bill collector, a clerical staff member, a revenue inspector, revenue officer, assistant commissioner and zonal commissioner.
