One lakh members of Employees Pension Scheme-95 will go in a rally to Parliament on December 7 in support of their demands.

All India EPS-95 Pensioners Sangarsh Samithi national convener Commander Ashok Raut said that 60 lakh retired employees covered under the scheme were getting pension between Rs.200 and Rs.1,500 and 28 lakh less than Rs.1,000. Speaking at a press conference, he questioned how could two people live on such a meagre pension when the minimum pension itself was Rs.1,000. He said that the Supreme Court ruled that full pension on actual salary with DA be given and an order was issued on March 23, 2017 on it. On a subsequent order on May 31 negated it, he alleged and wanted it to be withdrawn so as to benefit all the employees.

He demanded that since it had been four years since the Koshiyari Committee made a recommendation of a minimum pension of Rs.3,000 plus DA, minimum pension should be fixed at Rs.7,500 plus DA and interim relief of Rs.5,000 and DA should be paid.
