CPI(M) opposes collection of deposit for UGD connection

CPI(M) has opposed collection of deposit for underground drainage connection.

Party city secretary B.Ganga Rao said in a statement on Tuesday that all houses and flat-owners should pay Rs.2,000 depsoit if the house in more than 300 square yards the deposit was Rs.3,000. Even those having a house less than 100 square yards wer ebeing asked to pay Rs.2,000 towards deposit, he said.

He said UGD charges were part of charges of the property tax and collecting them separately was not justified.
