Andhra University will conduct the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test on July 30 for admission into research in various universities in the State.

The examination is being conducted for the second time by Andhra University. The test will be held in six regional centres in Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, Guntur, Nellore, Anantapur and Tirupati.

Speaking to media, AU Vice Chancellor G.Nageswara Rao said for the first time, based on the UGC’s new directions 6% of the appearing candidates would be declared qualified for eligibility for the posts of assistant professors and lecturers. For eligibility, the candidate must have appeared in all the three papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks in all the three papers and for reserved categories, it is 35%. He said that 42,023 candidates were registered with Telugu leading with 4,095 applications followed by the life sciences, chemical sciences and English. The hall tickets would be made available on the website https://apset.net.in/ from July 22.
