ACB traps GVMC employee Tulasi Kumar

Sleuths of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) trapped a chairman from the Town Planning Department of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) while he was allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.25,000 from a complainant on Monday.

According to ACB sources, Chairman of ward 41 near 104 area in Marripalem NV Tulasi Kumar demanded Rs.40,000 from one Venkata Reddy who had approached the Town Planning Department for building two additional floors on top of his single stories building on 60 sq.yds of land in the ward.

The deal was negotiated for Rs.30,000 and the accused received Rs.5,000 on July 4. Meanwhile, the complainant approached the ACB who laid a trap and caught Tulasi Kumar while he was allegedly accepting the bribe amount.
