YSRCP general secretary and Rajya Sabha member Y.Vijay Sai Reddy alleged that the TDP government has thrown constitutional norms to the wind.

Interacting with the media along with senior party leader Ummareddy Venkateswarulu here today, he said while the 10th Schedule of the Constitution provides for disqualification of MLAs who defect to another party, Chief Minister Chandrababu had not only welcomed the YSRCP MLAs into the TDP fold but also made some of them as Ministers.

The Swiss Challenge method was being followed in the selection of contractors for government projects ignoring the observations of the High Court. He said changes were being made in the Land Acquisition Act by the TDP government to suit its convenience. He alleged that the government had flouted the norms in the selection of the DGP by not sending the list of names to the Centre. This was done to make the new incumbent toes its line of thinking, he said.

Vijay Sai Reddy said that the government could not directly enter the digital media, and therefore, in the name of the Fibergrid, Chandrababu was planning to supress the media channels that were opposed to his policies.
