Newly posted teachers to report to at their chosen schools by February 19, 2010

Inter-district transfer of teachers of different categories working in Government, ZPP and MPP schools and away from their spouses got under way here on February 16. During the counselling conducted the DEO's office 32 spouses were transferred to various schools in the Zilla Parishad and Agency area school assistants.
DEO, Mallikarjuna Rao said the transferred teachers should report to the schools of their choice on February 19, 2010. Of the 73 applicants, 56 attended. Teachers from Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and other districts exercised the inter district spouse cases category transfer option given by the government after several years.
Of the 27 Second Grade Assistants who attended the counselling, three were unwilling for a transfer. One spouse was selected in the spouse mutual transfer. Of the remaining 23 teachers, requests of five couples for maths subjects and two for biological sciences respectively were not considered as there were no vacancies. On the whole, 16 teachers were issued posting orders under SGA. One Telugu and five Hindi Pandits, and three Physical Education teachers were also issued posting orders.
