A Dossier on Visakhapatnam
Says politicians are favoring bifurcation for political gains
Andhra University Campus, April 5, 2010
A comprehensive report will be submitted to the Justice BN Srikrishna Committee by the University student in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. The convener of the Joint Action Committee for Unified Andhra Pradesh, A Kishore Kumar, said that a detailed report on irrigation, education, health, employment, migration, environmental sectors, historical importance and culture of Andhra Pradesh will be submitted.
Kishore Kumar felt that the fact that most of the migrants to the Telangana region were from Andhra and Rayalaseema regions shows that Andhra and Rayalaseema regions were most backward in the state. The student leaders felt that Telangana politicians like Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao, Amalapuram MP Harsha Kumar are favoring the bifurcation for political gains.
