Thousands of devotees thronged the banks of Varaha Puskharini to witness the annual ritual of Teppostavam of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy at Simhachalam on Friday. For this occasion, the Devastanam authorities made elaborate arrangements. The temple as well as its surrounding areas were decorated with lights to ensure smooth passage of the deities as they were taken around the 'Tiruveedhi' in the main streets of Simhachalam.

The idols of Swamy were taken through the steps and then to the flower garden. The main priest, Mortha Seetarama Swamy, performed Aradhana and Viswaksena puja and then performed Gajendra Moksham. Once, Gajendra Moksham was performed, the idols were taken in the decorated boat to Varaha Puskharini for the Teppostavam to be performed. The boat carrying the idols ran circled the Mandapam in the Puskharini three times. The main priest then performed Aradhana and Viswaksena puja at the Mandapam.
