The CMD of AP Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited Ahmed Nayeem said on Friday that due to technical snags in the equipment led to disruption in power supply in Visakhapatnam city and Anakapalli and its surrounding areas during the last few days. He said technical problems at the 132 KV Naval Warf sub-station was the reason for disruption in power supply to the city for the last few days and there was no supply to Kasimkota feeder following problems at the Pendurty sub station to Anakapalli that caused disruption in power supply.
The CMD said that the Power supply was restored to some areas around 11pm on May 26 through the Simhachalam and Parawada feeder and supply to domestic connections in all areas was totally restored by May 27 evening. EPDCL AP TRANSCO were working on the Naval Warf sub station supplying power to the port feeder to restore power in some parts of the city.
