New regional office premises at Rama Talkies inaugurated

The Oriental Insurance Company, a public sector undertaking in non life insurance sector, has launched the first phase of its web portal duly integrated with the core insurance application to target insurance application to target insurance needs and intermediaries.
After inaugurating the new premises for the regional office of the company near Rama Talkies on Thursday, speaking to media persons, he said that they had introduced core insurance software for extending better service to the customers. The company is bringing about several changes after launching the project 'Nayee Disha' to face competition thrown up by private players. Bostan Consulting Group has been appointed as management consultant to carry forward transformation exercise.
He said the core insurance software was introduced in all the 1018 offices resulting in cent percent online solutions for more competitive and enhanced service to customers and facilitating them to pay the premium or lodge claims at any of the branches in the country. He added that the company collected premium of Rs.379.95 crores as on December 31,2009 compared to Rs.328.16 crores registering a growth of Rs.15.78 percent during the corresponding period.
