AP High Court Justice Raghuram addressed the gathering

Speaking at a National level seminar on RTI and judiciary, Andhra Pradesh High Court Justice G Raghuram on Saturday opined that dissemination of information helps structural and functional democracy and diminish corruption at all levels in the society.

Justice Raghuram said that Sweden is the first country, which implemented the Right to Information Act for transparency and accountability and it emerged as the least corrupt country. Access to information not only facilitates active participation of people in the democratic governance process but also promotes openness, transparency and accountability in administration, he opined.

Vice Chancellor of AP University of Law, Y Satyanarayana said people should fight against corruption only then good governance was possible.
