Mahila Sessions Court grants bail to Rambabu, proprietor of Jagadamba Theatre

Cases related to Dowry harassment and women harassment registered

It may be recalled that Jagadeesh and his father VB Chalam alias Rambabu were arrested and sent to remand on the charge of harassing women. The city police filed a petition in the court of the First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate on Tuesday seeking permission to send theatre proprietor Jagadeesh, accused in dowry harassment and women harassment cases for medical examination.

Meanwhile, the Mahila Sessions Court in charge judge A Vavamohana Rao granted bail to Rambabu on production of a personal bond of Rs.50,000 along with two sureties. He also ruled that Rambabu has to report at the police station everyday between 4pm to 6pm and should not leave the city without the permission of the court.

In another development, the counsel for the accused filed two bail petitions in the court of Metropolitan Sessions Judge Bala Tripura Sundari regarding cases filed against them by Sandhya and Krishnaveni.
