Demands 9th Pay Revision Commission

The State Government employees took mass casual leave, organized rallies, formed human chains and staged dharnas demanding increase of their wages and other allowances on Wednesday. The employees of Collectorate and government offices in the district took out a rally from the Collectorate to Jagadamba via Turner Choultry. They formed a human chain at Jagadamba and raised slogans in support of their demand to increase the fitment allowance from 27 percent, which was recommended by PRC to 61 percent.
In Vizianagaram, teachers and Government employees in the district availed mass leave on the call of Joint action Committee of the employees and also staged dharna infornt of the Collectorate APNGGO Association State Vice President VSR Naidu said the JAC has already informed its views on the recommendations of the PRC to the government. But no action has been taken till today said the JAC Chairman V Rajagopal and demanded the Chief Minister should involve himself in the issue and settle the problem.
In Srikakulam district also, the agitating employees took out a rally to the Collectorate and staged a dharna. All the schools were closed as the teachers abstained from duty. The mandal level employees, teachers and workers staged dharna at their respective mandals in the district. All the top leaders of the Association has participated in the agitation.
