Window grills of the court room cut open

Miscreants gained entry into the District Court complex and stole nearly 75 important files from the almyrah late on Monday night. They cut open the window grills of the courtroom where the files were stored and took away the files were stored and took away the files from the safe. The II Additional Senior Civil Judge P Pundarikakshayya lodged a complaint with the police on Tuesday.
Police Commissioner N Sambasiva Rao and top police officials along with CLUES team of officials visited the court and gathered evidence. Deputy Commissioner of Police Brahma Reddy said that the most of the files pertained to civil cases that were scheduled to come up for hearing during the next day.
The DCP suspected the hand of some staff behind the theft. The II Town Circle Inspector SSV Prasada Rao said that besides the files a typewriter and an inverter were also stolen.
