Says massive investments are being made in various sectors

The Chief Minister, K Rosaiah on Monday said that Visakhapatnam is fast developing and has a bright future. Addressing a meeting at Autonagar after inaugurating APIIC-Industrial Area Local Authority, he said this is the first of its kind in the country where APIIC provide better management and maintenance of industrial park through one stop service. IALA at Autonagar has various government departments, library, conference hall, technical wing, general services and bank ATM for the convenience of micro, small and medium enterprises.
He complimented APIIC for starting IALA at Autonagar, Rosaiah said massive investments were being made in various industries in Visakhapatnam. Hindustan Shipyard limited is being developed into a warship development centre by the Ministry of Defence and Visakhapatnam Steel Plant is in expansion mode and several petrochemical units will also start operations between the city and Kakinada.
Earlier, Visakha Autonagar Small Scale Industries Welfare Association (VASSI) said the needs of MSME sector would be considered favorably while formulating the industrial policy for 2010-15. VASSI president N Ramakrishna said all the incentives given in the earlier policy should continued in the revised one and demanded the immediate release of investment subsidy after the approval of the projects, reimbursement of registration charges for lad and building and subsidy on power tariff on time.
