Bheemili MLA along with 20 others held

The Joint Action Committee of five trade unions of Chittivalasa Jute Mills organized a bandh at Tagarapuvalasa on Thursday as part of their ongoing agitation demanding lifting of ten month old lock out of the mills.
The jute mill workers after implementing the bandh, carried out a procession on the bypass road. They blocked the traffic on the National Highway near Tagarapuvalasa for half an hour. They brought the traffic to a halt under the leadership of Bheemunipatnam MLA M Srinivasa Rao.
Later, the police took the MLA Srinivasa Rao along with 20 others including trade union leaders into custody and shifted them to Padmanabham police station. The MLA, Srinivasa Rao asserted that the agitation would continue till the lock out which was illegal was lifted.
