Injured person shifted to hospital

An Australian citizen on Thursday remanded to judicial custody by a city court after he injured a man with air riffle late in the night. According to police sources, Robert Justian Louis was partying at an apartment Prathima Pardize, adjoining the RK beach yesterday night. In an inebriated condition, he fired in the air with his air riffle. Subsequently, he also fired towards the ground which accidentally hit a passerby who was attending a natural call close to the apartment.

The passerby, who was hit by the bullet in wrist was injured and later he was taken to hospital for treatment. The II town police was informed and the police rushed to the Prathima Paradise and took him in to custody. The police informed that the Justin was employed with Leighton India Pvt.Ltd., and MNC involved in contract works and project development programmes. They informed that Justin, who is an engineer with Leighton was working on behalf of Leighton at an HPCL project in Visakhapatnam and was put up at Prathima Paradise apartments by his company.

The police registered a case of attempt to murder against him.
