A Dossier on Visakhapatnam
Brahmanandam conferred with 'Haasya Kala Vidaatha' title on the launch of Visakhapatnam Zone of TSR Lalitha Kala Parishat. Playback singer S Janaki enthralls the audience with a live concert.

The Visakhapatnam Zone of the TSR Lalitha Kala Parishat was launched in the city in front of a huge gathering at the Port Kalavani auditorium in the city. On the occasion, legendary playback singer S Janakti kept the audience enthralled with a live concert for over one and half hour.
Janaki started off her concert with her popular 'Sirimalle Puvva' song from the super-hit fim 'Padahaarella Vayasu'. She kept the audience glued to their seats with songs like 'Govullu tellanna, Gopayya nallanna..' from the 1980 movie Sapthapadhi. She ended the concert with 'Gunnamamidi komma meedha...' from 'Bala Mithrula Katha'.
Rajya Sabha member T Subbarami Reddy promised the audience that the TSR Lalitha Kala Parishat would host one such programme every month to entertain the people of the city. Subbarami Reddy also promised the construction of an AC auditorium at MVP Colony.
Film comedian Brahmanandam was conferred with the title 'Haasya Kala Vidaatha' on the occasion. He was presented a golden necklace. Minister for Municipal Administration D Mahidhar Reddy, former APCC president D Srinivas, Film producer D Rama Naidu, Mayor Pulusu Janardhana Rao, MLAs Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Malla Vijaya Prasad, former MLAs SA Rehaman and T Gurumurhty Reddy were also present.
