- Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha has assured to provide atleast Rs. 15 crore as a special fund to meet the expenses towards pensions of retired teachers and employees. He has handed over the appointment letters to students of the AU College of Engineering who were selected during the recent campus interviews.
- Carnatic musician Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna has performed on the first day of 'Murali Madhuri' - a three-day musical festival. He is accompanied by 'Galamurali' K Sivaprasad.
- Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited Chairman-cum-Managing Director AP Choudhary tells employees to be creative and participate actively in forums to help the organization prosper. He speaks at the annual Quality Circles (QC) Srujan Vikas and 5S recognition function.
- The APSRTC will introduce the new Garuda Plus AC buses from Visakhapatnam to Tirupati and Hyderabad. The service will be active from Republic Day. The service to Tirupati will leave at 7 pm, instead of 5:30 pm earlier and the one to Hyderabad will leave at 5pm. The new multiaxle buses will replace the Gardua AC buses.
- Civil Supplies Minister D Sridhar Babu has launched the 'Subojanam' scheme at the Gosha hospital in Maharanipeta. The scheme is organized by the Hare Krishna organization to provide quality and nutritious food to patients and pregnant women at an affordable price. Speaking on the occasion, he credited the Congress government for the development achieved in the State. Visakhapatnam South MLA Dronamraju Srinivas participated in the programme.
- The Junior doctors stir and relay hunger strike at the King George Hospital reaches day 5.
- 616 out of 719 women have qualified the physical fitness test for admission into police services. The test was conducted at Mudasarlova under the supervision of DCP Balakrishna.
