Third unit of the NTPC Simhardi Power Project launched by Union Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde

Union Minister for Power Sushil Kumar Shinde has inaugurated the third unit NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Power Project. He unveiled a plaque to mark the commercial launch of the same.
While he was on his way to NTPC Simhadri, the minister was greeted by protests with black flags. The minister stopped the convoy and spoke to them and found out about their problems. He later invited them to the meeting venue where he addressed the gathering. The minister also praised the democratic and Gandhian way of staging a protest instead of sloganeering and other forms of protest. He directed the NTPC Chairman-cum-Managing Director to resolve the problems faced by land-oustees and pollution-hit villagers.
Later, the TDP former minister Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy and Congress MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu met the minister and presented memoranda to him.
