US Consul General Katherine visits Visakhapatnam
US Consul General visits VPT, Container Terminal; Says water and power are critical for the growth of the industrial city.

The United States Consul General, Hyderabad Ms. Katherine S Dhanani made a visit to Visakhapatnam on Monday. She visited the Visakhapatnam Port Trust, Visakhapatnam Container Limited and later interacted with the members of the CII.
Ms. Katherine was welcomed by the Chairman of VPT Ajeya Kallam. At the Visakhapatnam Container Limited, she was welcomed by Captain Ravi Chander. A ceremonial guard of honour was given by the security staff. She later had a dinner meeting with the members of the CII at The Park.
While expressing optimising at the growth of Visakhapatnam as a business hub, she stressed the need for water and power augmentation in order to grow further. She spoke about Indo-US trade relations and issues of common interest. She said that the city has a bright future with many industries, research and development labs and IT units coming to the city.
