Seminar on Investigative Journalism held

Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists' Federation organizes seminar on 'Investigative Journalism - current trends'. Collector, GVMC Commissioner and others took part in the seminar, while Andhra Bhoomi Editor M.V.R. Sastry delivered the keynote address.

A seminar titled 'Investigative journalism - current trends' was organized by the Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists' Federation at Vaisakhi Jala Udyanavanam. The seminar was attended by a number of scribes. Andhra Bhoomi editor M.V.R Sastry delivered the keynote address at the seminar. Collector Lav Agarwal and GVMC Commissioner B. Ramanjaneyulu also addressed the seminar.

Speaking at the seminar, M.V.R. Sastry said almost every Telugu newspaper has its own school of journalism and they often fail to provide training to their journalists. He called on the journalists to take up useful issues to the society to win the hearts of the public. Collector Lav Agarwal said that journalists should be careful while conducting investigative journalism. GVMC Commissioner Ramanjaneyulu said that the media should provide training programmes to their journalists.

NTV Chief Editor Kommineni Srinivasa Rao, APWJF State general secretary G Anjaneyulu, Visakha Samacharam Editor S Veerabhadra Rao, Leader telugu daily MD VV Raman Murthy, senior journalist Brahmanandam, APWJF State vice-presidents H Srinu Babu and Koteswara Rao took part in the seminar.
