SBI launches 'Gruha Gamya' scheme, the first of its kind in the country. SBI CGM also inuagurates Beach road branch.

Rakesh Sharma, the Chief General Manager of State Bank of India inaugurated the 'Gruha Gamya' scheme at the SBI main branch in Rednam Gardens. The new scheme will help prospective house buyers to acquire loans at the shortest possible time. Speaking to the reporters, Rakesh Sharma said that the scheme is first of its kind in the country. He said that the SBI takes a pro-active approach in taking up schemes. Based on the success of Gruha Gamya, the project will be taken up in other SBI branches elsewhere.
He also inaugurated the State Bank of India's 56th branch in Visakhapatnam near Hotel GrandBay on beach road. The 'Beach Road branch' is equipped with all modern banking facilities including internet banking, mobile banking, core banking and safe deposit lockers. The bank also has plans to open 10 more branches in the Visakhapatnam.
