Do's and Don'ts issued by Mohsin Eye Bank for a safe and happy Diwali

Mohsin Eye Bank in the city has issued dos and don'ts for a safe Diwali. Spokesman of the hospital has issued the following directions to ensure a safe and enjoyable Deepavali.

• Adults should always supervise children when indulging in celebrations using firecrackers
• Keep safe distance while igniting crackers
• Advisable to wear protective goggles while lighting crackers and other materials that burst and release sparks
• Simple plastic protective goggles will serve the purpose
• In case of injury to eyes or eyelids, do not press the eyelids
• Blow air into the eyes or apply medicines and ointments, and consult an eye specialist immediately in case of injury to eyes
• Douse or Dip burnt parts in ice-cold water in case of burns
• Avoid areas and streets where anti-social elements indulge in throwing lighted crackers at passers-by
