Minister Purandeswari inaugurates Vizag LV Prasad Eye Institute. LV Prasad to open more City Centres to provide outpatient eye care.

Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development (HRD) and Member of Parliament from Visakhapatnam Dr. Daggubati Purandeswari inaugurated the L V Prasad Eye Institute that was setup on VIP Road. Speaking at the inaugural function, she said that access and education on eye care is necessary to improve awareness amongst the people.
Saying that the number of eye-related cases are on increase, she stressed the need for quality eye care hospitals. She recalled the services of L V Prasad and quoted that his father Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao was provided a platform for the great film producer by L V Prasad on whose name many eye hospitals are run.
Chairman of LV Prasad Eye Institute G N Rao said that the group is considering City Centers in many parts of the country including at Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Bhubaneswar. The City centres will provide out-patient services for eye care at convenient places in the city.
