Tribal Welfare Minister Balaraju says that every mandal will have Stree Sakti building. Government to set up corpus for of Rs. 1,000 crore and will organize conventions to create awareness of schemes for women and farmers.

A Convention of farmers and women was held at Tallapalem in Kasimkota mandal. Tribal Welfare Minister P Balaraju, MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao, MLC DV Suryanarayana Raju and Additional Joint Collector S Satyanarayana took part in the Convention.
Speaking at the event, Tribal Welfare Minister P Balaraju said that 'Stree Sakthi' building would be constructed in each mandal at a cost of Rs. 25 lakh. The Minister said that the State Government had set up corpus fund for the Streenidhi bank with RS. 1,000 crore. Similar Conventions would be organized in the mandals to create awareness on welfare schemes taken up for women and farmers by the State Government. Balaraju said that Rs. 2 crore was issued under the 'pavala' interest scheme, Rs. 1.45 crore towards crop insurance and Rs. 7.66 corer was waived for loss incurred to the farmers due to the Jal cyclone. He added that Rs. 16.73 crore was sanched for 26,515 groups under 'pavala' interest scheme in the last financial year.
Anakapalli MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao urged the Minister to sanction water tanks to Y Tuni and G Bhimavaram mandals. He also requested the Minister to approve for a pipeline from Tallapalem and a road from AS Peta to the national highway.
