Special poojas (prayers) are performed to the idol of the richly decorated Lord Jagannath Swamy at the Sri Jagannath Temple at Siripuram under the ages of Utkal Samaj. Devotees in large numbers attended the pooja and took the darshan of the Lord.

The special Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra will begin from the Utkal Sanskrutika Samaj with the Pahandi Bijay at 3 pm. This will be followed by the Cheera Panhara of the ratha at 4:30 pm. The ratha carrying the idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabadhra and Subhadra will reach the Lawsons Bay Gundicha Temple located near the Shanti Ashram at 6:30 pm where the idols will be kept till July 11, 2011. The return journey is termed at the bahuda yatra will begin at the Gundicha Temple at 4 pm on July 11, 2011.

The yatra is organized by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) will begin from VUDA Park at 4:00 pm and proceed via the Naval Coast Battery and back through the Ramakrishna Mission and conclude at Gurajada Kalakshetram.
