Local MLAs meet Chief Minister at Visakhapatnam Airport
Chief Minister meets Local MLAs for two hours before leaving to Hyderabad, after concluding the Rachabanda - II programme in East Godavari and Visakhapatnam

After concluding the Rachabanda - II programme in East Godavari and Visakhapatnam districts, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy met with the local MLAs at the Visakhapatnam airport after taking rest. He has spent around two hours at the airport before leaving to Hyderabad. The Chief Minister interacted with the local MLAs and leaders for about five minutes each. He enquired about the problems faced by the MLAs in discharging their duties to the people. The MLAs had told them that the non-local Congress leaders and Ministers are influencing the decisions in Visakhapatnam and that their prominence had diminished. They indirectly complained about Tribal minister P Balaraju.
As per the sources, the Chief Minister will speak to Balaraju and will him to limit his interference. Kiran Kumar said that he will speak to the district minister and district in-charge minister to give adequate importance to the local MLAs. The Minister will be advised to concentrate on constituencies where MLAs are from other parties and to leave the affairs of the others to local MLAs. Some of the MLAs also complained about Municipal Commissioner B Ramanjaneyulu. They told the CM that the Commissioner is not taking the suggestions of MLAs in issues like illegal constructions etc.
The Chief Minister also urged the MLAs to gear up for the forthcoming Panchayat Raj elections. Chodavaram and Madugula MLAs KSN Sanyasi Raju and Gavireddy Rama Naidu urged the CM to increase the MSP to Sugarcane. Bhimili MLA Muttamsetty Srinivasa Rao discussed about Simhachalam lands dispute, Chittivalasa industry, allocation of Junior Colleges, Crop insurance etc. Andhra University Rector PVGD Prasada Reddy explained about the recent Job Mela that was held in the campus. MLAs Tynala Vijay Kumar, Malla Vijaya Prasad, Dronamraju Srinivas, Chintalapudi Venkata Ramayya, Panchakarla Ramesh Babu also met the CM.
