Id-ul-Fitr celebrated in Visakhapatnam

Muslims celebrate Id-ul-Fitz with great enthusiasm. Special prayers were offered in all mosques in the city.

Id-ul-Fitr was celebrated by Muslims all over the district with great enthusiasm. The crescent of 'Shawwal' was sighted yesterday that marked the end of the month-long fast of Ramzan. Special prayers were held in all the mosques in the district including Macca Masjid, Jagadamba Junction, Darga Konda, Masjid-e-Noorani etc. They exchanged gifts and did charity as per their customs by distributing sweets and fruits to the poor.

A.P. Choudhary, the chairman-cum-Managing Director of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) has extended the greetings of Id-ul-Fitz to the muslim community in Ukkunagaram. Muslims offered mass prayer for the betterment of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
