Transport Minister announces awareness camps in November and December

The Andhra Pradesh Minister for State Transport Siddha Raghava Rao has directed the State Transport Authority officials to conduct awareness campaigns among two wheeler riders during November and December.

Raghavarao directed them to impose fines from January 1, 2016 who fail to wear helmet. He asked the officials to conduct special classes for school and college students on the importance of wearing helmet. He wanted them to conduct the awareness camps be conducted with the help of local police and book cases for violation of traffic rules. He said that since the broker system in the department was abolished, measures should be taken to ensure prompt services to the public. He wanted them to ensure availability of High Security Number Placates for vehicles.
