A Dossier on Visakhapatnam
GVMC delegation visits the Syvab waste treatment plant located 55km away from Stockholm, Sweden. Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Visakhapatnam North MLA are part of the delegation which visited the plant.

The GVMC delegation who is on a visit to Stockholm, Sweden has visited the Syvab waste treatment plant. A press release was issued by the GVMC revealing the details of the visit.
The delegation comprising of Mayor Pulusu Janardhana Rao, Deputy Mayor K Dorabbai, Visakhapatnam North MLA Tyanala Vijay Kumar, Additional Commissioner K Ramesh and HRD Consultant A Rajendrakrishna visited the 140 mld plant that is located 50 kms away from Stockholm. The plant which is run by 15 personnel will process the waste from a population of three lakh.
The Mayor has inaugurated the Waste-to-Wealth project in Stockholm last week as part of the collaboration between GVMC and Sweden Energy Agency.
