Foundation laid for new building of Mrs. AVN College

Foundation stone for new building of Mrs. AVN College laid by VUDA Vice-Chairman Kona Sasidhar

Visakha City, October 28, 2011

A new building would be constructed with Rs. 1 crore of VUDA funds at Mrs. AVN College in the city. VUDA Vice-Chairman Kona Sasidhar has laid the foundation for the new building Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Kona Sasidhar underlined the importance of value-based education with a moralistic story.

Visakhapatnam South MLA Dronamraju Srinivas thanked the VUDA and Mr. Sasidhar for funding the construction of the new building to the famed Mrs. AVN College. The 150-year old college has produced several great personalities like 1930 Nobel Prize winner in Physics and Bharat Ratna CV Raman, Revolutionary fighter Alluri Sita Rama Raju and poet Mahakavi Sri Sri.

Kona Sasidhar was felicitated after laying out the foundation. Former Bar Council of India Chairman DV Subba Rao, Correspondent of the college Indrani Jagga Row, Principal Kanna Rao and VUDA Chief Engineer I Viswanatha Rao were present.
