EPF balance now available through SMS

Members of EPF under the Sub Regional Office of Visakhapatnam jurisdiction can now get their EPF balances through SMS.

Visakha City, September 13, 2011

The subscribers of the Employees' Provident Fund under the jurisdiction of the Sub Regional Office of EPF Organization in Visakhapatnam can now check their balances updated in their accounts.

Regional PF Commissioner Ajeet Kumar said that the 'Know your EPF balance' service is now extended to subscribers in the jurisdiction and is available from Tuesday onwards. The users need to enroll to the service by linking their mobile number with their EPF account number. The given number is recorded in the system and on successful submission of information, the details would be sent through SMS to the given mobile number.

This service would also enable the Sub Regional Office to redress the grievances of the members relating to inconsistency of data.
