District Collector Lav Agarwal unfurls the National Flag on AP Formation Day celebrations at District Collector. He pays floral tributes to Potti Sriramulu.

The AP State formation day celebrations were held at the District Collectorate organized by the District Administration. Speaking on the occasion, District Collector Lav Agarwal said that the district is making good progress in development. He said that more plans were being drawn to make great strides in development. He said that government is giving special focus to industrial development. Implementation of several industries and projects worth Rs. 86,000 crore is in also in progress. Earlier the District Collector paid floral tributes to Potti Sriramulu and unfurled the National flag.
Major IT companies are being invited to set up units in the district and about one lakh jobs would be created. He said that the government is also spending on improving the tourism spots in the city. The Central and State Governments are working towards making Visakhapatnam an important tourist spot. Lav Agarwal said that the government is spending huge sums on various programmes like Rs. 1 per kilo scheme, Rachabanda, farmers and women conventions, Stree Nidhi Bank, Stree Nidhi Bhavanams, farm loans, Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu, Indira Jala Prabha, Mahatma Gandhi NREGS, mid-day meal scheme etc.
The District Collector said that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy will participate in the Rachabanda programme at Yelamanchili on Wednesday. Several district officials including Municipal Commissioner B Ramanjaneyulu, Joint Collector M Girijan Shankar, Commissioner of Police J Purnachandra Rao, Deputy Commissioner of Police Balakrishna, Additional Joint Collector S Satyanarayana, Assistant collector D Harichandana and other officials participated.
